Good News!!

Hi all, well starting with nanowrimo news I'm doing terribly I'm more than half way behind what I should be!! Oh well any writing time is not wasted time! The good news is my daughter Tayla has finished her 800 words for nano actually she finished it in 4 days! my daughter Bethan has almost completed her 2000 words just another 500 to go, but the best news this week is that Taylas blood test results came back normal as the last lot had shown her white blood cells had gone too low, luckily it turned out to be due to a cold she had phew! we were worried then there was something else as she was recently diagnosed with 2 types of epilepsy and whilst they were testing for that they realised there was something wrong with her heart, further tests revealed she has a large Asd and will need heart surgery to sew in a patch next year, she had to have her teeth checked before they can put her in for surgery and now the dentist has told us she has to have a tooth removed in hospital!! and so does our eldest daughter Shelby!! more hospitals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So thats why we were so pleased the results were fine because honestly doesn't my poor angel have enough to deal with! She's so brave though and never complains and she's been so proud about finishing nano and also at school she's been made star writer of the week for the past 3 weeks.
Bethan and Shelby have recently had parents evening and both are years ahead in their work!so proud!
They all obviously have their dad's brains but their mother's stunning good looks!

Quick update

I've been quite busy lately with family stuff and trying to find time to write for nanowrimo,
my novel is terrible but I think its a storyline I can work with after nano so I suppose thats the main thing!
I actually managed to have a night out last night with my husband(rare occurance!) we were invited to watch dog racing at Belle Vue for a friends birthday I've never been before so it made a nice change even though it was freezing! It was busier than I expected (more popular than I realised) and gets quite noisy with all the cheering especially when someone wins! I didn't win anything but some of our friends did (next time I'm betting on whatever they do!) but I had a good time.

Hi I thought I'd take some time out from writing my novel for nanowrimo and my idea of a break is more writing on here!!
I thought I'd tell you about the reason I became addicted to paranormal romances and that reason is Lynsay Sands, for anyone who doesn't know Lynsay Sands she is the Author of the Argeneau family vampire books. I love reading these they have great storylines and the characters are so easy to fall in love with (if I was going to fall for a vampire it would be Vincent Argenau!).after reading a couple of these I then found out she also writes historical romance and yet again these were also brilliant and funny(Lady Clarissa always makes me laugh aloud)I'm at the stage now where I think I've read all my books 30 times over and my family know if Lynsays name is on the front of the book I'm holding they will have difficulty getting my attention, I will even cook tea with the book in one hand and pan in the other (resulting in lots of burns but hey no pain no gain!)
Unfortunately this does mean I read them in one day and suffer withdrawals until I can buy the next one!
If you like paranormal or historical romance then I personally would recommend these I've never been disappointed yet . The womans a genius!
so heres a list of some of my favourite authors: 1.Lynsay Sands(paranormal)
                                                                       2.Lynsay Sands(historical!)
                                                                       3.Nina Bangs (paranormal)
                                                                       4.Julia Quinn(historical)
                                                                       5.Kresley Cole(paranormal)
Now for all those who are writing novels who's your favourite author and have they inspired the writing your doing at the moment?

The beginning

Welcome to my blog! this is the first time I've done anything like this, unfortunately I'm useless with computers and have to keep asking my daughters advice(so please bear with me!) I'm still not sure what to write about but I have been told keeping a blog is great practice if you want to be a writer, so I'm finally taking the plunge!!
I've just joined The Writers Bureau and I am hoping to get a bit closer to my dream of one day being a published author, I like reading and writing paranormal romance and will be starting a novel tomorrow as part of the nanowrimo month! my two youngest daughters have also decided to join in the young nanowrimo so there will be a lot of writing going on this month in the Simms household!
My novel will be the first of a serial and is about werewolves with some vampires, gods and goddesses thrown in
and obviously lot's of romance and some fight scenes, which I'm not sure how to do at the moment so if anyone has any tips on creating good fight scenes please let me know!!!
